Dice the mangoes, half the red onion, the seeded jalapeño and a handful of cilantro. Toss with the juice of 1 lime and a pinch of salt for the salsa.
Add the black beans with a splash of their liquid to a skillet with the cumin, chili powder and 1/2 tsp salt. Simmer over medium 6-8 minutes, lightly mashing about a third of the beans.
Char the tortillas one at a time in a dry skillet or over a gas flame, about 30 seconds per side, and stack in a towel to keep warm.
Slice the avocado and cut the remaining lime into wedges.
Fill tortillas with beans, mango salsa and avocado. Leave the jalapeño out of a small bowl of salsa for kids who don't like heat.
